5 Favourites about Autumn

Happy October! It's that time of the year where the leaves are turning, jumpers are on and it's beginning to look a lot like Autumn. I'm a total summer fan, but Autumn comes in very close second. Here are my favourite things about Autumn and ways to get winter ready and super cosy for the countdown to the end of the year (and Christmas!)

Cosiness
There is nothing better than a cosy night in with a blanket a cup of tea and all the candles lit. Get yourself some Autumn candles (I just bought some amazing ones from Next), put a movie on and get those PJs on with a tea. Candle light always makes me feel so relaxed and in the colder evenings you can have electric blankets and baths which are the best, especially after a long autumn walk to watch the pretty leaves turn fall. Plus, we get an extra hour in bed soon for that extra cosy snooze!

Food (and Drinks)
Food is around 80% of my life, so seemed right to mention it. Autumn for me is all about comfort food. Pie and mash, Soups and warm Stews are all delicious and I feel like winter meals bring everyone together round the table. Also I love mulled wine/cider/beer which Instantly reminds me of Christmas! Yum!

Clothing
Layers and Cosy Jumpers are my staple in Autumn and Zara and H&M always do this best. Just eaten all the pumpkin pie and a huge roast dinner? Noone will know! Scarves and hats to feel cosy save you from taking ages on your hair (forget the dry shampoo) and tights and boots are super cute. I can't wait to do some Autumn clothing hauls in the next few weeks! Also every year I make it my mission to get the perfect winter coat and the perfect black boot.. let the hunt begin! Plus Autumn-berry toned lipsticks work for everyone.

Halloween
It's no surprise to everyone I know that I love halloween. I love horror and skulls and dressing up, so combined that makes Halloween! Even I don't get to dress up, I love to watch horror films and decorate anywhere I can (and yes, I've already started!)

Christmas Countdown
After Halloween and Bonfire night is when the official countdown to Christmas begins! I love being super organised and have already begun thinking of presents. I love to have everything wrapped early, my tree goes up on December 1st and I can't wait to sit down with a hot chocolate and watch Muppets Christmas Carol super soon!

Hope this has gotten you all excited for Autumn, I can't wait to blog and vlog all about what i'm up to. Whats your favourite season?
