Up There Design Rooms Review - Split, Croatia

Now, if you've been on my Instagram recently (follow me here) you'll know that i've just gotten back from a little trip around Eastern Europe for a few weeks. Whilst I was there, I stayed in the 'Up There' Design room hotel in Split, Croatia, and LUVED it. Being a Graphic Designer, I love a good graphical, design hotel, so thought I would share my recommendation with you all.

About a 5 minute walk from the centre square in Split, this hotel is hidden in a old-looking tower block. Taking a lift to the 10th floor, you will find this little hidden gem tucked away. With only a few rooms (so book in advance) this place offers a chilled and luxury place to shade yourself from the beach and is filled with simple design aspects - which is why I loved it!

Each room is named something different, with all rooms being doubles with en-suites. Being on the 10th floor, the views from your room are amazing and with all bedding from HAY, you'll want to just snuggle down and watch the sunset most evenings. There's free tea & coffee on offer, with a communal space if you'd like to get some work done, or have a space to plan the trips you are going to take. Free (and actually good) wi-fi, free fruit and someone there 24/7 to help you out.

Now lets talk about the most important part. The bed. Super king size (or at least, thats what it felt like) with marshmallow pillows, the bed was perfect. The decor in the rooms are super simple, which each having a different design but all mostly in keeping with a scandi and hygge vibe. Lots of space and surfaces to spread things out, a fridge and TV's equipped with the internet and even Netflix! Plus, there is air-con in your room for the perfect temperature!

The bathroom was simple yet Pinterest worthy with floor to ceiling tiles, a backlit mirror and a waterfall shower, which is perfect for getting ready for a night drinking cocktails and dancing in the square. The simplicity of this hotel made the space feel calm and relaxing which I think really added to the stay.

If you are visiting Split, Croatia, I really recommend staying here if you enjoy a well designed hotel as much as me. To book or find out more click here (go and check out more pictures!), and I'd love to know if you stay how you find it!
