Layering Summer Dresses

It's always difficult when you bought a new wardrobe in summer and now that it getting colder and icy (it's cold enough now England, you can stop!) we have to find ways to 'winter warm' up our summer pieces to make them last that little bit longer into the end of the year. Least if I re-use a summer dress means I can buy something something for myself for Christmas and not feel guilty right?!

This has been the case with this Zara dress. Using this as my 'go-to' easy dress of the summer, I have bought it back in winter by laying a black top underneath and adding ankle boots. The length of this dress means it's fine to use for winter and the heavy material also means you stay warm (very important whilst running around Christmas shopping!)

Adding layers such a polo necks and shirts can easily transform a summer dress into a winter one and in my opinion, the more layers the better! In this weather you can never be too warm.

Layer pieces up with a huge chunky scarf and a cute beanie and you are good to go!
How do you transition your summer to winter wardrobe?
