I do - Sketch afternoon tea

Now this a very exciting post to write as I'm talking about somewhere that I have always wanted to go and has always been on my 'London bucket list' (Yes, I have soo many things I want to do, that I have had to spilt it into places!) so when my lovely friend Lucinda offered to take a few besties and me to Sketch for afternoon tea I jumped at the chance!

The main reason I was so excited was to see the art in the The Gallery room. My favourite
illustrator is David Shrigley and he has transformed The Gallery room at Sketch into an art gallery for tea-drinkers to look at while sipping down a fruit infusion and picking up just one more macaroon!

Those who don't know any of his work - he creates line drawings (usually with ink) into comedic illustrations, with 239 of his drawings on the walls of Sketch.. and some cheeky sketches on the crockery!

The staff were so friendly and we had a good amount of fussiness for them to easily lose their cool, with one GF guest, two veggie and one original afternoon tea we had lots to cater for! The food was delicious as we found nothing was lost between the different dietary requirements and the combinations of flavours were what you'd find in an afternoon tea, but with an usual twist. Must haves for the non-gluten and veggie are the mini croque monsieur and pistachio choux - with me being the gluten free I'd say try the smoked salmon with the brioche seeded bread and the macaroon - yumm!

The place is perfect to sit back and enjoy a cuppa with loved ones while having the interesting aspect of being in an art gallery! It is one of the prettiest, most glamorous gallery spaces in London and the best place I have ever had afternoon tea - my new favourite! The afternoon tea is all you can eat/drink and the setting is so cosy and girlie and cute you will never want to leave!

The rest of Sketch is also just as interesting, with the famous egg pod toilets (which you need to go to if nothing else) and other rooms all with different themes. I just need to arrange to go and visit them all!
